This session features a variety of groups and performance styles. It begins with a group performing songs and game songs that would typically be sung during a wake, followed by a work group gang, a bélè (also bélé) group, and a steel band. The session concludes with two performances of children?s songs and lullabies. Some of the recordings can be found on Caribbean Voyage: Dominica (Rounder 1724).
