This session features a number of instrumental and vocal configurations. It includes solo accordion, a quadrille ensemble (performing instrumental music), and solo and choral singing, as well as multiple interviews. Many of the performances styles typically accompany a dance of some sort. Alan Lomax wrote of this session, ?Dr. Jean Maurice, Edward Gréaux (Roro) and Gramont La Place took us to Flamard and Columbia, where we recorded Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Sunday evening. Manuel Magras, a man of 70 odd [years] was the proprietor the bar in Flammard [sic]? (Field Log). At the time of this recording, Manuel Magras was 70, Constan Magras was 39, Louis Greaux was 16, and George Blanchard was 33 years old (ibid).
